In a proper split jerk, the torso stays completely vertical in the initial dip, and remains vertical during the powerful drive with the legs. The feet rapidly move to the split receiving position (note front foot is AHEAD of front knee, a knee in front of the foot is a classic indicator of short-stepping) while the arms drive the body down. Note how the torso is under the bar. strength: split jerk, 1RM metcon: run 400m (once), then- 10 toe to bar, 10 burpees AMRAP 10 min. Post loads and rounds to comments.
